Another media milestone reached!
Ladies and gentlemen, dear Cinderellas, following our legendary interview on the Israeli Sports Channel, I am incredibly proud to present the teaser for the radio interview I did this week with the BB-fucking-C (!!!) over in England. I was interviewed for a radio show dedicated entirely to lower-league football, and it was an absolutely thrilling experience.
I just hope they edit it well enough so my rusty schoolboy English sounds half-decent...
Please note, the attached link is temporary and will be updated later with photos from our tours and, of course, the full interview (which took place over Skype) on Tuesday evening: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03q9gk8
This interview happened thanks to the kind help of BBC reporter and Barnet fan (League Two), Mr Joel Hammer. He originally got in touch with me during our last tour in October, and since then he’s been working hard to find a time that suited us both for the interview—which, as mentioned, took place this week via Skype. The interview itself was conducted by another reporter, whose name I can’t quite remember, who happens to be a Chelmsford fan. And you’ve got to admit, it’s just brilliant that someone actually supports a team with a name like that.
Here is the text from the teaser, for anyone who can't read it (and it's also good for my SEO):
Move over Manchester United…
Football tourism is a growing industry. For a price, specialist companies will ferry you from where ever you live to matches at famous stadiums all over the world.
For many, watching Manchester United, Real Madrid or AC Milan in the flesh is the realisation of a life times dream. However if that all seems slightly too glamorous then one man is offering a rather different match day experience.
Israeli Perry Shaler is the founder of the Cinderella Project and he organises trips for fans from Israel to watch English football but instead of a trip to Arsenal he'll take you to Accrington and move over Chelsea, here come Cheltenham Town.
